Rose
Thought this rose bush would look best in the portrait mode. It filled in the frame well. I think I would have liked to try shooting it from a little lower view point though.
Mushroom
Tried to get at the same level as the mushroom when shooting this one.
A duck at Sabine Lake
I positioned the duck at the lower right of my frame, so more of the lake would be in view. More interesting than the lawn and walk way. I wish the aperture had of been smaller to make the seagulls more in focus.
Pier at Sabine Lake
In this picture I tried to positon part of the pier to the left instead of the center. I zoomed in on the structure at the end of the pier. It gives a good view of both the pier and the lake.
Another shot of same view. But I zoomed in more. On this one the fisherman is more in view and the structure is larger. The colors are some what washed out. I think maybe making the aperture smaller would have helped.
Just have to add one more. This one is of a sunrise. It is a good example on using a natural frame.
Great lessons! Really enjoyed working with compositon. Just got to keep playing to get use to the different rules.
