This week we started working with Photographs. We learned about how to use different enhancement tools, color tools and layer adjustments.
Here is the picture of the Geese that I liked the best. Unsharp mask was used. I liked it best as the tall grass and the green grass had more detail. I used the blur brush to blur the very top of the photo some to produce a blurry background. Blur/sharpen setting are sharpen hard, rate 50, fade out a length of 100px.

In my first version of the cactus flower I used Artistic Effect: Apply Canvas with a depth of 5, topright and an adjustment layer using softlight, opacity 90, and then a sharpen of 20.

For my second version I used Artistic Effect: Cartoon, mask radius 6.91, percent black .345 with an adjustment layer using value and opacity 85. Finishing up with sharpen 20.

My final image.
Original baby bird.

Enhanced image.
With having a moving target for the camera I decided to use Unsharp mask with the settings of radius 18.9, amount .37 and threshold 11.
